"I like the old formula for the Hydrating vitamin E lotion much better. Less sticky, no odor, great for sensitive skin."

"Too much perfume"
Date:May 10, 2012
"The vitamin E lotion they USED to sell has been my favorite for over 15 years. This new "improved" formula is awful. The perfume is so strong it makes me feel sick! Even the previous incarnation smelled too much of roses. If I wanted perfume I'd shop at Bath and Body Works. Until this lotion is changed back to the original unscented formula I'm going to have to stop buying it. I'm extremely upset!"

"Liked Previous Stuff"
Date:May 2, 2012
"I'm not sure what the company did different to this lotion but what I bought a few months ago (the vitamin E) beats the heck out of the same, new stuff they have out now. The new Vitamin E lotion had way too much perfume fragrance, it's too oily/greasy (even though the front label says non-greasy) and it certainly isn't as thick. I'm very disappointed as I loved the previous Vitamin E lotion."

"vitamin e loation"
Date:March 24, 2012
"You need to fire your research analysts. I have been using your vitamin E lotion for 20 plus years and loved it. Your new formula is thick, greasy, and smells like some of my wifes perfume. Sometimes new and improved is not always better. Do you have any of the old formula you could ship me or at least send me the old formula and I will have it made locally."

"Love the new formula!"
Date:March 10, 2012
"We've been using the body lotion w/vitamin E for years and love it, but this new formulation is just the best! It has a lovely subtle fragrance, it absorbs well and leaves skin super soft. Please don't change it!!"

"St Ives Hydrating Vitamin E"
Date:February 28, 2012
"Whatever changes were made to the vitamin E hydrating moisturizer are horrible. It smells like perfume and feels greasy. I have used this product for years and just bought a new one. I thought only the packaging changed. Very disappointed. Will not be using this product any more."

"If it is not broken..."
Date:February 25, 2012
"'If it is not broken... don't fix it'
Why did StIves have to change the Vitamin E Lotion? I had been using this cream for years. At first, I thought that the only thing that had changed was the label... until I used it! It was not the same lotion and it was awful! I did not even care to finish the bottle. I gave it to my cousin who -by the way- told me that she did not like it either. For the first time in years, I am now using a different brand of hand and body lotion.

"Surprised!"
Date:February 21, 2012
"I have recently went out to dinner with a group of ppl and they had this lotion in the bathroom... so after washing my hands I tried a small amount on my hands and I was sold. I have been paying about $10-$11 a bottle lotion and have not gotten results as good as this lotion. Another thing I fell in love with was the smell of this lotion! It was fresh kind of a cucumber scent which really made me wanna buy it. I can't remember what I ordered for dinner but I remembered this lotion, and honestly I can't even remember the last time I ran out and bought something just because I liked it that much. Easy on the pocket and with results like no other. I've never used St. Ive's product before so I don't know what the other reviewers are saying about the scent and quality. I highly recommend this lotion. It's a must try!"

"New Formula is Awful"
Date:February 10, 2012
"I have used St. Ives Vitamin E lotion for so long I can't remember when I didn't use it. I swore by it. In fact, I've used it as facial moisturizer for years and now that I am middle aged, people have commented on how good my skin looks. I fear that will not last. The new formula is not good. It feels like wax, where the old formula felt creamy and soothing to my skin. I looked at the ingredients of the new formula compared to the old one and there is alcohol listed in the new formula near the top of the ingredients list. The old formula had no alcohol. Alcohol is drying not moisturizing. St. Ives used to be one of the only lotions that did not use alcohol. I am going to have to switch. I hope St. Ives solves this problem so I can come back soon."

"Goodbye old friend..."
Date:January 27, 2012
"I have used the vitamin E formula for years. Being a man, I liked this lotion because it didn't smell like perfume and absorbed quickly. I never had to worry about greasy hands. I liked it so much I followed it through different bottle designs and paid the premium price for it. That has all changed with the new formula. The perfume smell is something made for my wife and the residue is greasy. If I wanted something like this I could buy any other brand on the market, and would probably just buya generic based on the price!"

"Why St Ives, Why?"
Date:January 14, 2012
"I have been using St Ives products for years. All of my cosmetics and toiletries are non-animal tested, and it's always been great to have products like St Ives' which fit this criteria but also are not tested on animals and so budget friendly. And they work! I am finding more and more that St Ives is adding overpowering fragrance to many of their products. This is NOT the Vitamin E lotion I knew so well. Over the last year I have been forced to reduce my St Ives' "arsenal" down to two products now, because of so much fragrance, discontinuation of some of the most popular items and so many "new formulas" that frankly were not needed."

"Disappointed"
Date:December 29, 2011
Pros: swiss formula sales
"Have used St. Ives Vitamin E lotion for years. Very happy with the creaminess and moisture of the lotion. Very disappointed in the 'New Improved' Hydrating E lotion. Goes on like liquid plastic. Not moist or creamy."

"New Vitamin E Formula"
Date:December 11, 2011
"The new formula for the daily vitamin E hydrating lotion is not as good as the old formula was. Please bring back the old formula. I have been using this for years on a daily basis and believe it to be the best lotion on the market..even better than the more expensive spa brands. I will not stop using this but would prefer the old formula."

"Where's the "A&E" formula?"
Date:December 9, 2011
"I'm with everyone else. I have been using the Vitamin E formula since back when it was the "Vitamin A&E" formula. I was not thrilled when the vitamin A was dropped but still found it to be better than anything else on the market. But this new formula? Please! It is like smearing on Vaseline. And the new scent? Well, being a guy, I now smell like a woman - not good. No offense ladies - it's just that the old formula had a more neutral scent. As someone else suggested, brand this new formula differently and bring back the old formula. If Coca Cola did it, you can, too."

"AWFUL"
Date:December 4, 2011
"I've been using St. Ives Vitamin E for years. This "new and improved" formula is AWFUL and nothing like the old formula. It should be labeled "completely different" formula. The old formula was light and easily absorbed, with a light scent. I used this lotion on a daily basis, on my entire body, and I loved it. The new formula, however, is heavy and greasy - it does not absorb. Further, the new formula stinks and the scent is too strong. PLEASE bring back the old formula or change the name, St. Ives. It seems as though when you tested this "improved" formula you failed to test it on those who use it regularly. Completely disappointed."

"New Vitamin E is Awful!"
Date:December 1, 2011
"I have been using St Ives Vitamin E lotion for as long as I can remember. I am so disappointed that the formula has now been changed. It's either more greasy or less absorbent than it used to be and the smell gives me a headache.
Is there any way to get a hold of the older formula???"
