"This used to be my FAVORITE lotion ever!! It was the only lotion that saved my skin from MN winters. I noticed the new packaging and was actually looking forward to trying the "improved formula" since it was already so awesome already. Could it really get better?! Nope. I can't believe they would take such a fantastic product and completely ruin it by adding fragrance. Please bring the old stuff back!!"

"Hate New Formula"

"I have used this product for many years to great satisfaction. The new formula has an unpleasant smell, and is no longer ideal for use on my face. It leaves a sticky residue on my skin. I have already begun searching for a new lotion and am very disappointed in the changes made to my old favorite product. I would be happy to return to this product if it would be changed back to the hypo-allergenic, fragrance-free, lotion it used to be."

"After 10 years of using the Intensive Healing Lotion, I have to quit using it. I loved it when it was fragrance free and have been using it every day for over a decade. Now that St. Ives has added fragrance, I have to quit using it. I am sad to switch. I wish St. Ives would change back to the unscented version."

"I used to love this product. It worked wonderfully for my dry, itchy, eczema-prone skin. It was great for both summer and winter, really all year long. It was even better when it became paraben and pthalate free. However, the most recent revamping of this product left me so sad. One of the things I had loved was that it was fragrance-free. Why change it and put fragrance in it--especially when it claims to be fragrance free, but actually is not. I am sensitive to certain perfumes and fragrances, and am not sure what product I should get now. Please change it back!"

"I don't understand, the description on this website says no fragrance, yet the bottle says "light fragrance". It horrible! I LOVED this product and I'm running out. I can't find an alternative that I like ... I even got my husband hooked on using this product because it was just the right texture and fragrance free! Now he's using up my supply! Go back to how it was before ... PLEASE!!!"

"I was so disappointed to see the change in formula. It is too fragrant for my skin now. It used to be so good I could use this on my face and now I can't. I am so upset by this. Why change what is so good?!"

"I LOVED this lotion until they made it scented. My skin is so dry and so sensitive that this is the only lotion that works for me. I also put the old unscented formula on my tattoos to keep them from drying. I really don't like the new scent and I'm sad to say I am in the process of looking for a new lotion."

"Have always used this product because it was fragrance free. I don't like the products with a fragrance, especially in the summer when fragrances attract mosquitos! Why fix what isn't broken? The old formula was great."

"I was also loyal to the old formula. A lot of scented lotions give me headaches so I loved the fragrance free Intensive Healing. But this new formula with light fragrance instantly gave me a headache when I used it. It smells terrible."

"This formula has been used in our household for years. I saw that it was finally available again at the local store I shop at. I cleared the shelves.
When I opened a bottle for use at home I realized how much the Intensive Healing formula had changed and I HATE it! It stinks! I have used this formula on my own skin and even the skin of my sensitive newborn because all the other lotions had too many perfumes and this one originally did not. Now I will be returning all the bottles of the new lotion, and discontinuing use of it. I'm so sad to see a quality lotion change and yet another product that I will not be purchasing in the future because of the change."

"I am completely shocked that this product doesn't have 5 stars! I am also confused as to why one reviewer claimed it has a light scent, which turned them away from the product. The product says "fragrance free" on the bottle, and I can't detect any scent. What I do detect is beautiful, soft skin, and a magnificent product that dries and works quickly. This is my favorite body moisturizer ever!"

"As many others I have been using the Intensive Healing lotion for years, the unscented version. This new "lightly scented" version feels greasy on application and the scent is unpleasant. I am sorry to say that I have to find a new product since this is not acceptable."

"I just bought this lotion yesterday (Jan. 25, 2012), and I can already see a vast improvement in my skin. I get dry patches on my forearms every single winter, and I've tried a lot of different lotions, and none of them have worked as great as St. Ives. My dry patches are GONE after just 1 day of use! It's amazing, my skin is soft and supple again. I love the scent, it's not overpowering, just a nice light scent. I'm sometimes sensitive to scents, but this one does not break me out at all."

"I'm also disappointed in the latest reformulation of the Intensive Healing lotion. I used the unscented version for years and was very happy with it. I don't mind scented lotions, but this one is really unpleasant. I won't buy it again."

"I was initially looking forward to opening my latest bottle of Intensive Healing lotion as the previous bottle I had just finished was so lovely. It was unscented and the natural scent from the ingredients was quite nice...just perfect. Also, the lotion itself was much better at moisturizing and had longer lasting moisturizing. I try to use as many all natural products as I can, but for a very good price the previous formula of this lotion was an excellent addition with its many natural ingredients and good quality. Since I like to use lotion frequently as I live in a dry climate, it was great to find such a lotion that was also a good price. Unfortunately, the new version does not moisturize as well and I need to use it more frequently and the scent is NOT pleasant. As long as this formula exists, I will not be buying this lotion again, I am sad to say: Mediocre to poor moisturizing, unpleasant scent and the texture of the lotion is not nearly as nice as the previous version.
PLEASE bring back the previous formula ( a lovely lotion) or something very comparable!! St. Ives, I hope you read these reviews!"

"I was a loyal user of the Intensive Healing UNSCENTED product. I don't know who decided to put fragrance in the product, but you just lost a loyal customer by making that decision. This is definitely NOT a "light fragrance" and definitely not a pleasing one either. This lotion has given me a headache EVERY time I tried to wear it and I threw it in the trash today. I do not use any fragranced products at all. Your UNscented lotion was a lifesaver, because it was the only non-scented lotion on the market and was a wonderful option for those of us with sensitivities to fragrances. I am so disappointed and frustrated with the decision to change this product when it was perfect the way it was."

"I love this lotion! But, I liked it better before the fragrance was added. Wish I could find some bottles from before it changed. Says the frangrance is light, but I can sure smell it. Especially if I get my hands near my face. Please consider removing the scent!"
